AI story video maker: turn a story into an illustrated YouTube video

How to make one, step by step
- Get the story. Write it yourself, or ask ChatGPT, Claude or DeepSeek for one written to be spoken: short sentences, one event each, about 140 words per minute of video. (Here is a prompt.)
- Paste it into the studio. In Alpy's studio, choose AI voice and paste it. Titles, labels and stage directions are left out of the narration. If you paste instructions or a story plan instead of the story itself, Alpy says so and can write the narration from it. Stories need 110 to 2,700 words.

Mistakes to avoid
- Pasting a plan, not a story. A list of scenes, shots and a cast is instructions; the video would read it aloud. Paste the story, or let Alpy write it from the plan.
- A story with nothing happening. Feelings are hard to draw; events are easy. Show what the character does.
- Someone else's story without asking. A Reddit post or a published book belongs to its author. Ask, or write your own.
- Expecting Shorts. Alpy makes horizontal 16:9 videos for YouTube, not vertical Shorts or Reels.
