How to keep the same character in every scene of an AI video

Use a tool that draws every scene from one fixed character, rather than generating each scene from a fresh prompt. In Alpy you pick one of 34 ready-made characters (stick figures, animals and a robot) or make your own from a drawing or a description, then paste a script or upload your narration. Every scene is drawn from that one character, so the face, colours and outfit stay the same for the whole video, up to 20 minutes.

Why the character changes between scenes

  • Each scene is a new image. Image generators draw from a prompt, not from memory. Ask for "a fox in a library" and then "a fox at a bus stop" and you get two different foxes.
  • Descriptions are not enough. "Orange fox with a green scarf" still varies in face, proportions and style from one image to the next, and the drift grows over a 30-scene video.
  • Video generators fill the gap with motion, not identity. Clip generators keep a character for a few seconds; across a five-minute explainer the cast quietly changes.

How to do it, step by step

  • Pick the character first. Choose from Alpy's characters, grouped as stickmen, animals and robots, or make your own from a drawing you upload or a short description. All the ready-made ones are free to use.
  • Bring the narration. Paste a script for one of six AI voices (110 to 2,700 words), or upload your own recording. The script decides what happens; the character is who it happens to.
  • Write scenes the character can act out. "She opens the fridge and finds it empty" draws better than "food insecurity". Give the character something to do in most sentences.
  • Check the storyboard. Every scene is drawn with the same character from the same reference. If one comes out wrong, redraw just that scene (1 to 5 redraws a video are free, by plan).
  • Use the same character on every video. A recurring host is what viewers remember about a faceless channel. Your own characters stay in your account for the next video.

What it looks like

Alpy's own examples, made in the studio the way any customer's video is made.

Where Alpy is not the right fit

  • Six AI voices, not a large voice library, and no voice cloning
  • Horizontal 16:9 only, no vertical Shorts
  • One deliberately simple drawing style, not polished animation
  • No free plan beyond the preview

Questions

How do I keep a character consistent in AI-generated videos?
Draw every scene from one fixed character instead of a new prompt each time. Alpy does this for a whole narrated video: pick or make a character once, and every scene uses it.
Can I use my own character?
Yes. Upload a drawing of it or describe it, and Alpy draws it in every scene of your videos.
Can there be more than one character?
Each video is built around one main character, the channel's host. Other people and animals in a scene are drawn as the narration describes them.
Does the character move?
Scenes are still drawings that change with the narration, every few seconds, the way most faceless explainer channels are cut. It is not frame-by-frame animation.
What does it cost?
Setting up a video is free, and you see the price before you pay. Finishing one video is $7 a video or $29/month.
