Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Alpy (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Alpy turns narration into illustrated videos for YouTube. You record or upload your own voice, or type a script and choose one of Alpy's AI voices, optionally create your account preview, and use your video minutes, or a one-time purchase for that video, to generate and download the complete video. Supported formats are shown in the Studio.

Videos use your narration, either your recording or the AI voice you chose, with generated illustrations and timed scene cuts. AI voices are preset voices and are labelled as AI-generated in the Studio. Alpy does not clone your voice or anyone else's. You are responsible for disclosing AI-generated narration where a platform or the law requires it, and you are responsible for uploading finished videos to YouTube or other platforms; Alpy is not affiliated with YouTube.

The Service is not offered in Türkiye. Accounts cannot be created, and previews, videos and purchases are not available, from Türkiye.

3. Previews and Scene Approval

Each account can create one limited, watermarked preview of up to 10 seconds. A preview is not a subscription trial and does not include the complete video.

Alpy creates the illustrations automatically. After a video is finished, you can redraw individual scenes: the first one, three or five redraws on each video are free, on Starter, Creator or Pro (one without a plan), and each further redraw uses 10 seconds of available video time when it succeeds; a failed redraw restores the reservation. Review your video before publishing it.

4. Subscriptions, Video Minutes, and Failures

Monthly subscriptions include finished video minutes: Starter includes 20 minutes for $29 per month, Creator includes 50 for $59, and Pro includes 100 for $99. In some countries, prices are shown and charged in local currency at checkout. Every plan includes the same core creation features; plans differ in the longest video they make (Starter up to 8 minutes, Creator up to 15, Pro up to 20), in custom characters drawn from a description in any 30 days (Starter 1, Creator 5, Pro unlimited), in free scene redraws per video, and in whether unused minutes roll over. Pro videos are processed ahead of others when the service is busy; this is not a guaranteed delivery time. Applicable taxes and recurring payment terms are shown before purchase. Existing purchases and earlier subscriptions retain their original units and terms; they are not automatically converted into video minutes.

Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. Each successfully paid billing period adds the plan’s monthly minutes. On Creator and Pro, unused subscription minutes roll into the next consecutive paid period, up to twice that period’s monthly allocation. On Starter, unused minutes expire at the end of each paid period. Minutes expire at the end of the paid period if the subscription ends or lapses. Cancel renewal through your account; cancellation keeps valid minutes available through the paid period. Upgrading to a larger plan takes effect immediately: the unused part of the current billing period is credited against the first payment for the new plan, a new monthly period starts that day, and minutes equal to the unused share of the current period’s allowance are removed because that time has been credited; minutes rolled over from earlier periods carry over under the new plan’s rollover cap. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the next renewal.

Full generation reserves the intended video duration shown before you confirm, measured to the next whole second, with a minimum of one minute per video. Successful generation consumes that time once. Failed generation releases its reserved time back to the original balance, subject to its expiry and rollover cap. Retries do not add a second charge for a single delivered video. This restoration is not a refund to your payment method. Playback and downloads do not use video minutes; insufficient minutes block generation without automatic overage charges.

One video can also be finished with a one-time purchase, without a subscription: $7 for a video up to 3 minutes, $14 up to 8 minutes, or $35 up to 20 minutes. A one-time purchase covers that video only. Subscribers can also buy extra minutes, at the prices shown in the Service; extra minutes are used after monthly minutes and stay valid for 12 months.

Monthly minutes and the maximum duration of one video are separate limits. The maximum per video depends on the plan (8, 15 or 20 minutes); without a plan, and for a one-time purchase, it is 20 minutes. Running work is not charged again when a billing period renews. Refunds, revoked subscriptions, or payment disputes may suspend generation and remove affected unused minutes. Existing legal rights to a remedy or refund remain unaffected.

Creating a preview or returning from checkout does not confirm payment or grant video minutes. Projects moved to trash do not automatically qualify for a payment refund. A finished full video includes one automatically generated YouTube publishing kit at no additional video-minute cost. Each requested thumbnail regeneration uses 10 seconds of available video time when it succeeds; technical failures restore the reservation.

5. Refunds

Refund requests are assessed under applicable law, the payment provider’s terms, and this policy. A refund may be available for a subscription payment where no paid video generation has been used.

Once full-video generation starts, a payment is generally non-refundable because Alpy immediately incurs third-party processing costs to create the video. If a technical failure prevents delivery, we restore the reserved video minutes automatically. Where we cannot provide the paid service, additional remedies or refunds may apply.

Duplicate or incorrect charges may be refunded. A refund, reversal, or chargeback may revoke unused video minutes associated with the affected payment. Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

6. Your Content and Acceptable Use

You retain your rights in your recordings, scripts, and other submitted materials. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to submit them and to use any voices, likenesses, or other protected material they contain.

You authorize Alpy and its service providers to process your submitted materials as needed to transcribe, illustrate, render, store, and deliver your requested videos, as described in the Privacy Policy.

As between you and Alpy, you retain any rights you hold in the resulting videos and may download and publish them. AI-generated material may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection. You are responsible for checking your inputs and outputs for accuracy and third-party rights before publication.

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law. You are also responsible for complying with the rules of platforms where you publish your videos.

7. Storage and Downloads

New voice projects are stored for 30 days. Historical one-time project purchases extend that project’s storage to 30 days from payment; a monthly subscription payment does not extend every project’s storage. Expired projects move to trash. You may also move a project to trash yourself and restore it during the seven-day recovery period. After that period, media and transcript content are removed by the cleanup process. Older projects without an expiry retain their existing retention settings.

Download your finished videos before their storage period ends. Alpy is not a permanent backup service. Minimal purchase and accounting records are retained separately as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Changes

Processing times and availability depend on service capacity and third-party providers. Generation may be interrupted or fail. Features and limits may change, and the current availability and purchase terms are shown in the Service.

Changes to future offers do not retroactively change an existing purchase. Nothing in these Terms removes your rights if paid services are not delivered as agreed.

9. Generated Content and Results

Generated illustrations and transcripts can contain errors. The visual style is intentionally simple and hand-drawn, with static illustrations and timed scene cuts. Review the finished video before publishing it.

Alpy does not guarantee views, subscribers, revenue, YouTube monetization eligibility, or acceptance by a publishing platform.

10. Your Legal Rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided as available without additional warranties beyond those stated in these Terms or required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
